PRIMUS Green Naugahyde CD
Green Naugahyde was produced and engineered by Les Claypool in his personal studio, Rancho Relaxo, in Northern California, and features Claypool, long-time guitarist Larry LaLonde and drummer Jay Lane. Lane was in an early lineup of the band, and was also in Sausage, a 1994 reunion of the 1988 Primus lineup. Green Naugahyde expands on Primus’ incomparable sound and also sees them bringing it into the next millennium. It is a cerebral and complex album that, like all of the band’s output, is teeming with the band’s signature blend of whimsy and underlying darkness.

Les Claypool - Of Fungi And Foe CD
Les Claypool's album "Of Fungi and Foe" is his latest album of all original music. Since his last album release, 2006’s “Of Whales and Woe”, Les has been busy with his films, scoring other people’s films, scoring video games and just having fun out on tour. This album is a collection of songs inspired by the projects he has been working on over the past few year. Also on this album is a jam session with Eugene Hutz the charismatic front-man of the band Gogol Bordello that turned into the track “Bite Out Of Life”. CLICK ON CD COVER FOR TRACKLIST

Gabby La La Be Careful What You Wish For CD
Gabby La La’s debut CD on Les Claypool’s Prawn Song Records - Be Careful What You Wish For -makes her the first new artist on the label in a decade. Produced by Claypool himself (who also plays many of the instruments), the recordings of her original quirky songs mark the culmination of what has been a steady collaboration between the two. Wielding the sitar, electric ukulele, toy piano, accordion and Theremin, Gabby La La is a perfect example of eclectic creativity uncommon in today’s music. A graduate of the California Institute of the Arts and a long time student of Ali Akbar Khan, Gabby presents a funky style, clever lyrics and refined musicianship. She has been compared to the likes of Bjork and Yoko Ono. Even at 5’3” her stage presence captivates audiences with cautionary tales of boogie men, dog walking, and leprechauns, compelling audiences to unleash their imaginations. "Besides being an accomplished Sitar player, Gabby La La utilizes Toy Piano, Ukulele, Theremin, Accordion and Butterfly-Guitar while tap dancing and singing like Glinda the Good Witch from the Wizard of OZ. She is a wonderful inspiration and I whole heartedly support her nomination for Secretary of State." -Les Claypool Be Careful What You Wish For... Track Listing: 1. Les Claypool - The Big Eyeball in the Sky CD
Les Claypool, along with Buckethead on guitar, Brain on drums, and original Parliament/Funkadelic member Bernie Worrell on keyboards, released their debut album 'The Big Eyeball In The Sky' September 21st on Prawn Song Records. Claypool characterizes the band as "a traveling, oversized sock-puppet show spawned by the characters of a Tobe Hooper film and scored by Danny Elfman on bad acid." The 11 songs were written and recorded last year by the four band members and feature a unique collaborative sound. Check samples of the songs on the new site here: http://c2b3.com/ Les: "The chemistry between this particular ensemble has been extremely inspirational and working with Bernie Worrell has been a constant source of amazement. He is without a doubt one of the true musical geniuses of our time." "The majority of the lyrics on this record were written at the onset of the Iraq confrontation" explains Claypool, "so it was very difficult not to be influenced by the frustration and confusion that was felt by myself and the people around me - though somewhat dark, I tried to cloak my angst, conveying thoughts through the eyes of colorful and satirical characters." This CD's package reaches new levels of superiority, with an embossed silver foil cover image!
